J5 Scourge
Replaces the SMR with a 5-round burst SMG called the Scourge.
The Scourge is inspired by the file name for the Volt, "hemlok_smg", suggesting that it was originally supposed to be a burst-fire SMG.
Details
- 5-round burst SMG
- Better close-range and hip fire compared to the Hemlok
- Uses Volt model, under the SMG section in the loadout menu
- Mostly balanced
- Seems to work as just a server-side mode, but I recommend all players have it
- Can be obtained via the console with "give mp_weapon_scourge"
Known Issues/Limitations
- Due to limitations with Titanfall, you can't add new weapons to the loadout screen. This mod replaces the SMR with the Scourge. If you want to swap which weapon it replaces, go into the mod's folder, go to mod>scripts>weapons, and rename "mp_weapon_smr.txt" to whichever weapon file you want (ex: "mp_weapon_sniper.txt" for the Kraber).
- Also due to Titanfall limitations, custom weapons can only use the scopes available to the weapon they replace.
- The Scourge borrows audio from a couple weapons and the model is just the Volt. Custom sound effects and models should be coming soon.
Manual Installation
Download the zip file, unzip, place the file labeled "Scourge" in Northstar's mod folder (Titanfall2>R2Northstar>mods)
